  • Malaysia's economy expands 7.1% in the first quarter

    The Malaysian economy grew at a faster pace of 7.1 per cent in the first quarter of 2008 compared with 5.5 per cent a year ago, driven by growth in the services sector, Bank Negara Malaysia said on Wednesday. However, economic growth for the first quarter of this year slowed from the 7.3 per cent achieved in the fourth quarter of last year. read more
