Global Trends and Challenges in Supply Chain Security Management

14th September 2010, Tuesday

In order to effectively meet the demands of a secure supply chain in today’s environment, a more comprehensive and integrated security focus is required, extending beyond asset protection and preventing the introduction of unauthorized contraband, people, or weapons of mass destruction into the supply chain.

Since 9-11, the Supply Chain Security function has changed tremendously and the world has been made aware of the reality of the risks and threats in the logistics industry. Global supply chain security has become increasingly important due to these incidents involving damage, theft, and terrorism. This conference will show about the Supply Chain Security issues that global players in logistics industry are facing. Participants will be able to understand the issues of Supply Chain Security, Supply Chain Security implementation and the ISO standards for Supply Chain Security.

Participants will also be exposed to various case studies with SME’s (Small Medium Enterprise) and Multi-National Corporations on benefits associated with implementing supply chain security measures.
